Jamis Bicycle - Hit The Mountain Bike Jaunts With Jamis Bicycles

Jamis Bicycle started to jangle the chains of other mountain bike manufacturers in 1979. Since then the company has developed a formidable presence in the mountain biking world. Jamis Bicycles has won Bicycling Magazine's coveted Editor's Choice Award on more than one occasion.

What started with the Earth Cruiser Jamis Bicycle in 1979, and the pre-mountain bike Explorer a few years later, evolved into the Dakota and Lightfoot in 1983. Two decades, and many innovations later, the Dakar XLT made its appearance. Mountain Biking Magazine grabbed it as its Best All-Mountain Bike choice, and also crowned it as Overall Bike Of The Year. Since then the accolades for Jamis Bicycles has continued to pile up.

In the Jamis Bicycle Full Suspension Mountain Bike range, the Freeride Diablo line is a praise-magnet. If you are into punishing mountain biking adventures, the eye-catching 2006 Diablo 2.0 (pictured) with its tough aluminum frame, is the bike for you. It will go for whatever you throw at it, without flinching.

Multi-link rear suspension absorbs all the shocks, leaving you to enjoy the ride. When you put this Jamis Bicycles model to the test, you will find that traction is excellent. Stopping power can be trusted with Hayes El Camino hydraulic disc brakes, and control is enhanced by the Maxxis High Roller tires.

In the All-Mountain Bike series the Dakar XLT 2.0 has been another award-winner from Jamis Bicycles. This truly is a bike with brawn where you need it. Despite its slight heaviness, the 2006 Dakar with its Manitou Swinger Air SPV 4-way shocks, is a versatile, eager ride. The fork is a Manitou Minute 2:00, allowing you to use TPC Lockout and Rapid Travel Wind Down during any challenging climb.

As is customary in Jamis Bicycles, the specs are impressive, featuring Hutchinson Spider Tires, efficient Shimano Deore Rapidfire-SL 27-speed.shifters, and Shimano Deore XT derailleurs.

The Jamis Bicycle Full Suspension range also include the Cross-Country Dakar XC line, and the Dakar Sport series.

The Hardtail Mountain Bikes feature the Race Steel series, with the prominent Dragon name. The Enduro series include the well-known three Komodo models. Apart from the Performance Steel and Performance Aluminum ranges, Jamis Bicycles also offer the Race Aluminum and Sport Aluminum lines. The hardtails make provision for every taste, skill level, and need.

The experience and precision of the Jamis Bicycle company can be seen in these Hardtails. Refined over the years, the designs and engineering target comfort, maximum traction, control, and slick riding. The Komodo 3.0 with its triple gauge, double gusseted aluminum main tubes, and Manitou Stance Flow Fork, promises durability, and a ride that will still be raring to go when you are at your limit.

Gear-picking is effortless with the Shimano Deore Rapidfire SL 27-speed shifters. The Hayes HFX-9 HD hydraulic disc brakes, and the Maxxis HansVenture tires allow you to apply your developing skills with confidence while on this hard as nails Jamis bicycle.

The varied range of bikes offered by Jamis, also include road models, cruisers, and youth bikes. If your mountain biking activities necessitate the use of 'not just another bike', be sure to take a look at Jamis Bicycles.
